When it comes to doing a senior portrait session in the desert, I don’t have too many options for locations that are budget friendly. I’m always trying to be creative and look for spots in local parks that would be appealing, and I sure love any spots that give a unique desert lushness. Lushness, ha! Like that word would be associated with the desert, but if I look hard enough, I can find pretty spots.
One of those spots is Springs Preserve. It’s such a little gem of natural beauty in the desert. They are also very kind to photographers, and have let me come do sessions there for free, to which I am grateful. I love exploring the huge area for little portrait pockets. My outdoor studio:)
This is the lovely Ashley, ready to take on new adventures in her life! Poised and confident. I was nothing like that when I was her age. I’m humbled by the new generation of strong youth today.
I have only shot there in the springtime so far, and there has always been a blooming show of beauty. I love shooting here for senior sessions. It’s just dandy. So if you looking for a location to do your senior pictures at, give Springs Preserve a try. It’s an overlooked treasure.
