After much begging and pleading, I took my two oldest boys to see the new Avengers Endgame movie. I’m not super hyped on the Marvel movies. Don’t get me wrong. They’re super fun, but I can wait for them to get on VUDU to watch on my couch. My boys, on the otherhand, would not have that, and so I took them last week with not much excitement to see it. I was wrong.
First off, I remembered that I grew up going to the movies all the time with my Mom, and I loved it. Second, the movie turned out to be really, really good. Anything that involves time traveling always hooks me. Dang you, Marvel. Mainly, I had joy in eating popcorn, seeing a movie on a really big screen and seeing my kids happy. They happily enjoyed it.
I came home that day thinking that I added another drop of happy times to my Mom treasure chest of memories. The kids are growing too fast. They won’t be under my roof for long. What ways can I soak up the time with them? What things can I do with them that might not be my first choice, but will bring happiness to them? These are the things I will try to do better on.
