Returning to writing-Las Vegas Senior Photographer

It’s been awhile since I blogged, but here I am. There is the talk going around that blogging is dead, but I feel that it’s very much alive and needed. While I adore Instagram, and love the uniqueness, visual beauty and stories of it, blogging is a breath of fresh air to me. I renewed my website this year not too long ago, and will give it a try again to share beautiful content from my photo sessions and daily life.

I think of this website as my little home on an internet block. I can decorate my site however I wish, either elaborate or simple, and I can show up and speak my thoughts. I’m going to make a goal to blog more. With five little ones at home with me, this can be challenging, but I am going to try. Thank goodness for scheduling posts ahead of time! What a lifesaver for busy moms.

I have great respect for fellow photographers who are mothers, home-makers, homeschoolers, and more. It’s a careful balance of spending precious time with family, and nurturing your creative outlet to keep your mind full of growth and vitality. I have found with the small amount of free time I have in the day that I must use it carefully. I have learned the importance of saving my energy for the best things for me. There’s always that ‘good, better, and best’ method of choosing. I only have so many hours in the day, and want to use them wisely.

I hope to be consistent at writing. Last year, a window of excitement opened up for me as I learned that I love to write. Having never taken any formal education in writing, I’m sure I’m quite ridiculous at it, but my heart has many beautiful thoughts that cannot be held back any longer. Maybe it’s just being older now, and having gone through the rough sea of parenting, and still braving those sea, that I have new insight to share in the written word. I don’t know, but it sure is exhilarating to pursue something new that makes my heart happy.

I hope to be more consistent in my little corner on the vast internet block. I will try my best.
